Astraslim is a meal replacement that is offered in either chocolate or vanilla, and it is brought to you by the nutritional supply company of Hi5. This meal replacement is only one component of the five part weight loss system that Hi5 offers, and the other components include a daytime and nighttime metabolism booster, an appetite suppressant and a colon cleanser. When used together, Hi5 promises its users that they will consume fewer calories, burn more calories, get rid of excess water weight and intestinal buildup, and experience a better overall health.
Pros
If Astraslim does indeed keep you full for long enough that you can skip a whole meal, than we could definitely see how it would help you lose weight, seeing as it is only 56 calories—shaving off a good 550 calories from the average dieter’s lunch. Seeing as a pound of fat is only 3500, this could help you lose around a pound of fat a week.
Cons
That being said, we have some doubts as to whether or not this will really keep you full and not just add 56 more calories to your daily intake. Hi5 claims that Astraslim’s ingredients are composed of essential amino acids that work together to provide your body with energy and vital nutrients.
While this may be true, we still can’t get past the fact that your body will not feel energized after this liquid lunch. Meal replacements need to either be large in volume or heavy in fiber to keep the stomach and the brain feeling full. Even if you have enough protein, you will still feel as if you haven’t eaten anything, and we all know how much harder it is to make sensible dietary choices at dinner if we skipped lunch.
Our Opinion
Astraslim might work for you if you have incredible will power and self discipline, however since Hi5’s Astraslim isn’t available for individual sale, you’d have to invest into the entire weight loss system to try it out.
