What Is Atkins Diet?
The Atkins Diet has long been a popular option. They have talked about the Atkins Diet using all the best components, and for a while there, it was all the rage. Everybody and their dog used the Atkins Diet. They talked about losing even extreme amounts of weight in a short period of time, and every obese person on the planet it seemed was actually seeing results with it. Now Dr Atkins had at one time been obese, and he used it to see results. There were whole lines of products claiming to be low carb, and it started the real low carb revolution in dieting. But there were no regulations on those products.
This being said, Dr Atkins diet supposedly with a nasty slip on the ice. But realistically speaking, there has been speculation that he actually died of a heart attack. The Atkins Diet consisted of a number of free thoughts. You had to cut out all carbs or at least all but a select few, and they even cut out vegetables and other important carbs, because to Atkins, they were all bad. But they did not restrict fatty or red meats, and that would actually do serious harm to the heart and body according to basically every legitimate doctor besides Dr Atkins.
In the end, the biggest problem with the Atkins Diet was the fact that it was unsustainable. When you cut out an entire food group, let alone all food groups but one, it is unhealthy to say the least. However, there is a major problem when people cannot actually follow the diet, because they ultimately speaking want to actually eat other foods and can’t. They eventually stop following the diet, and many Atkins users actually gained back not only the weight they had lost, but more.
