What is BodyMedia?

I’ve been using BodyMedia for about 2 months now, company research. The way I figured it from the start, yes it costs a little more, actually a lot more. But it doesn’t have ingredients. So I’m not putting my health in danger, and every once in a while, it’s more beneficial for you if I’ve actually used the product.
A Little About Me
I consider myself to be health conscious. When I go on vacation, I’m lazy. But most of the time, I have a set workout routine, I have a set diet plan, and even when I don’t count calories, I try to eat more fruits and vegetables. So I do pretty well on my own. But I’ve been struggling to lose 10 pounds for a while, and I have been a little stuck on what I’ve been doing wrong. I’ve heard from a lot of people that BodyMedia makes you more accountable, which I translate into BodyMedia tells me what I’m doing wrong. So let’s move on.
How BodyMedia Works
BodyMedia measures how much you eat, how much you burn throughout the day, and how you sleep. In my case, I found that sleep was the problem, even though it’s something that most of us don’t think about quite as much. When I used it, my calorie intake was fine, except on holidays or at big family birthday dinners. My exercise was fine.
And while I knew that I wasn’t getting enough sleep, I really had no idea. I was getting an average of 5-6 hours of sleep per night, when you really should be getting 8. And even on weekends, I was worse off than I ever admitted to myself. I committed to getting more sleep, and it made a bigger difference than I thought it would. I don’t know that I lost 3 times more weight. But it helped. It actually worked, which is something I can’t say for most diet pills.
Is BodyMedia Worth It?
Sometimes, we’ve all said it. I would pay whatever I have to in order to get something that works. But I do know a few things about all of this. For one thing, I know that not everybody is disciplined or self-aware. And while self-awareness can help, YOU have to be the one to do something about it! Otherwise BodyMedia definitely won’t work.
But my biggest problem was with the cost. When I originally got BodyMedia, I didn’t know how much it cost, because it was a work expense, and I went in without reading the advertising or anything else to avoid bias. But as much as I say that if it works, it works, I was a little shocked at the $250 price tag. It doesn’t burn fat, it doesn’t actually improve sleep patterns on its own, and it doesn’t even tell you how to make the necessary changes. It’s the personal coach that’s not a personal coach. So I hate to say it. But it’s not worth that much. If it were cheaper, I would recommend it to people who really want to make the changes. But $250, you’ve got to be kidding me.
