What Is Dtour Diet?

I’ve heard a lot of ridiculous claims over the years, and the Dtour Diet, which targets people with diabetes, has to be one of the worst offenders I’ve seen in the past few months. Yes, it sounds good, and yes there are some people who tell you that the Dtour Diet is amazing. But take a look at the facts for a moment. The Dtour Diet says that if you have diabetes, you can:
“Lose up to 10 inches off of your waist in just 6 weeks”
“Blast away fat with foods you love (in other words things filled with sugar)”
Has “four special fat-fighters that are so powerful that one alone has been shown to cause six times more body fat loss among overweight women with diabetes than a similar diet without this one dietary factor!”
“Reverse early diabetes….in just 1 week!”
Does it sound sensationalized to you? That’s because it is sensationalized. There is no diet or even diet pill that can help you to target one area of fat like belly fat. There is no magical diet that will “burn away fat” while you eat all the sweets you want, especially if you have diabetes or pre-diabetes. If anything, this diet defies common sense and medical knowledge.
Of course, this is all what’s on the surface. But whatever is below the surface, whatever magical approach Dtour Diet is taking, we’ll never know, because the Dtour Diet doesn’t tell you. Truth be told, most doctors recommend that pre-diabetic patients or patients with type 2 diabetes go on a healthy low carb diet to lose weight. And some say that with a healthy diet and exercise plan like this, the average patient can “cure” themselves of type 2 diabetes.
But if Dtour Diet were a low carb diet, why are the “doctors” behind it being so secretive? And why in the world does the book encourage sweets and other foods that may cause more issues with blood sugar. Legitimate doctors wouldn’t. In short, if you want medical advice, talk to YOUR DOCTOR! If you want a specialized diet plan that works for you, look into one of the many legitimate low carb diets currently out there.
