What Is Fen-Phen?
Fen-Phen is a natural ingredient that they talk about helping you to lose more weight. Fen-phen was an anorectic over the counter weight loss medication which combined two major ingredients known as fenfluramine and Phentermine. Phentermine is of course the most popularly known prescription on the market, working as an anorectic amphetamine, ultimately suppressing appetite. It was marketed by American Home Products, now known as Wyeth. But unfortunately, fen-phen was shown to cause potentially fatal pulmonary hypertension and heart valve problems among other things. For this reason, fen-phen was actually introduced in the 1970’s and banned in the 1990’s from any kind of sale.
