What Is Slimgenics?
Slimgenics was known as Slim4Life for years, and while located in the MidWest, it is finally said to be “rapidly expanding” after 25 years. Of course, it still sells exclusively in 2 cities in 2 states, Minnesota and Colorado. But it’s not really surprising considering the average cost of about $2000 a month. I personally know maybe 1 or 2 people who could afford a diet plan like that. So why does it cost that much, moreover for a grocery store based diet plan?
What Slimgenics Includes
While Slimgenics’ advertising focuses on a grocery store food based approach, the diet itself actually focuses on a number of pills, meal replacements, and minimal sustainable eating habits or “grocery store foods.” Slimgenics wants to keep you dependent, which is really nothing new. Most diet plans do, because obviously, diet plans that do this make more money on each consumer, though diet plans that offer real food choices for a cheaper price attract a greater number of customers, ironically making more money over the long run, especially when consumers can actually keep it off. Diet plans that are what Slimgenics claims to be are more responsible and more profitable.
At $2000 a Month, Why Does Anybody Buy Slimgenics?
Technically, the average reported cost is $2000. Some report paying over $3000! But Slimgenics gets customers in first to meet with high pressure salesmen who make customers feel like you need a product you can’t necessarily afford. Yes, it’s ridiculous once you think about it. But then again, the HCG diet is completely ridiculous, claiming that a pregnancy hormone will help you to lose weight.
Should You Invest in Slimgenics?
When companies and products changes names, it typically tells me that the original name got such a bad rep that changing names was the only choice. A $2000 to $3000 price tag with no guarantee and typically no long term results can certainly do it, and I hardly think that Slimgenics will be “rapidly expanding” any time soon.
