What Is Tenuate?

A prescription weight loss drug, Tenuate has been said to work as a sympathomimetic amine that will work as an anorectic drug. It will stimulate the central nervous system and therefore increase heart rate and blood pressure. This could ideally speaking help you to burn more fat and otherwise decrease your appetite by sending signals to the brain. It is meant to be used exclusively as a short term weight loss supplement, and they claim that Tenuate will finally help you to achieve once daily results without the problems of a harsher prescription such as Phentermine for example.
If you have heart disease, high blood pressure, arteriosclerosis, glaucoma, have taken an MAOI inhibitor, have a history of drug or alcohol abuse, have problems with your thyroid, an anxiety disorder, epilepsy or another seizures disorder, or diabetes, you should not take Tenuate. Tenuate side effects have been known to include difficulty breathing, closing of the throat, swelling of the lips, tongue, or face, hives, an irregular heartbeat, very high blood pressure, hallucinations, abnormal behavior, confusion, restlessness, tremor, nervousness, anxiety, headache, dizziness, insomnia, dry mouth, an unpleasant taste in the mouth, diarrhea, constipation, impotence, change in sex drive, or dependency.
Tenuate can easily become habit forming for some individuals, and it has been known to cause some serious side effects to say the least. It is a prescription and a controlled substance for a reason. With this in mind, it does work. But one should keep in mind that obviously enough, there are far better options that do more than Tenuate on the over the counter market, and they do not come with the same nasty side effects. So we would recommend that you look into them instead.
