What Is Yohimbine?
Yohimbine has been popularly used in a number of male diet pills and muscle builders quite recently, and there have been a rash of claims about it increasing natural testosterone production and therefore building more muscle. Now it has been used in some female supplement as well. But obviously with the claims about it producing more testosterone that would not be at all appropriate. It is generally found in extremely small amounts such as 5-10mg, because they claim it works in those amounts. But the question is, what is the legitimate truth.
About Yohimbine
Yohimbine is not a testosterone booster, muscle builder, or fat loss supplement. It is a natural aphrodisiac meant for men, a far cry from their claims at this particular time. This being said, it has never been proven in any clinical study that we have seen thus far to actually promote weight loss or any of those related benefits that some talk about. It has been cautioned against for women. However, some like Slimquick for example continue to use it.

This being said, other side effects of yohimbine seen in both men and women alike include heart attack, stroke, renal failure, and serious kidney damage and even complete kidney failure. So when it comes right down to it, it could be very well compared to things like ephedrine for example. Obviously enough, this is not worth it, and frankly it’s definitely not an ingredient we would recommend in any diet pill, muscle supplement, or otherwise. The risk is simply unacceptable, especially with a complete lack of benefits.
